Mamatkulov Bakhromjon Mamatkulovich Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor. Born in the Besharyk district of the Fergana region. Founder of the School of Public Health. Mamatkulov Bakhromjon graduated from the Sanitary and Hygienic Faculty of the Tashkent State Medical Institute in 1972. From 1972 to 1990, he worked at the Department of Social Hygiene and Healthcare Organization of the Tashkent State Medical Institute as a research intern, assistant and associate professor. In 1982 he defended his candidate’s dissertation and in 1997 his doctoral dissertation. In 1990-1992 he worked as deputy head of the Main Health Department of the city of Tashkent, in 1992-2000 he served as dean at the Fergana branch of the 2nd Tashkent State Medical Institute, and also headed the department of “Social Hygiene and Healthcare Organization”. In 2001-2006, he worked as head of the department of Public Health, Organization and Health Management at the 2nd Tashkent State Medical Institute, then at the Tashkent Medical Academy; in 2005-2008 he worked as the head of the Master’s program at the Tashkent Medical Academy. From the opening of the school in 2006 to the present, he has held the position of director of the School of Public Health.
Under the leadership of B.M. Mamatkulov, 17 candidates and 2 doctors of medical sciences, more than 80 masters in the specialties of Healthcare Management, Public Health and Higher Nursing were trained. Currently, 4 doctoral dissertations are being prepared under his leadership. In recent years, Professor B.M. Mamatkulov has published 10 textbooks, 20 teaching aids, 10 monographs, 45 teaching aids, more than 300 scientific articles, more than 50 of these articles were published in prestigious foreign journals. He was awarded the badge of a labor veteran of the 1st degree for fruitful work in 2023
